	Silly bird Party
	The table can be decorated with small tree branches, bird houses, and small potted flowers. Decorate the room with small pictures of birds you cut out and hide them in plants, on bookshelves, hanging from light fixtures, etc. or outside in tucked away spots. Hand out toy binoculars to the children. Let them go birdwatching and find the birds in the room or hidden in yard. Identify the various birds with the children as they find them.
	Activity for the kids....
	Milk carton bird feeder
	Have one empty milk carton (1/2 gal.) for each child. Cut a hole in one side of the carton for a door. Paste or glue leaves on the outside of the carton. Fill the hole with bird seed. Hang the feeders outside and with binoculars ready wait and see how many different kinds of birds come to feast. The children take these home as their take home gift to enjoy at home.
	Let's all be birds!
	Feather Masks
	Purchase halloween masks. Have a large assortment of colored feathers. Let the kids glue feathers all over the masks. They can look as real or as silly as they choose.
	Serve sunflower seeds to all of your new little chickadees!
	Treat can be cupcake bird nests. Bake and frost cupcakes. Color frosting green and add coconut to the frosting to form the nest on top of each cupcake. Place jelly beans in the center of each nest for the eggs.
