Mix flour,salt and sugar in bowl. Cut Crisco into flour with pastry blender or two knives until the pieces are the size of peas. Blend together 1/3 cup of this mixture and 5 tablespoons water. Add to remaining Crisco-flour mixture and mix with fork or fingers until dough holds together. Shape into a round flat mass.

Roll half of dough into a circle about 12" in diameter and 1/8" thick. Line pie pan. Crimp edges to 1" beyond rim. Add filling. Remaining dough can be cut into 1" wide strips to be weaved together for top crust of pie, crimping the edges. Bake in oven 425 degrees for 15 min the reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake 25 to 20 minutes or until crust is brown.

My kids love pie crust cookies. We roll out the dough to a flat circle and spread butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle cinnaman and sugar over the butter. Cut the dough into 2 inch squares. Place squares on a cookie sheet and bake until brown.
