11/2 c flour |

1/2 tsp. baking powder |
|

1/2 tsp. salt |
|

1/2 tsp. soda |
|
| |
3/4 c sugar |
|
| |
1/2 c shortening |
|
| |
1 egg |
|
| |
2 tsp. milk |
|
| |
1 tsp. vanilla |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda,
and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles
course meal. Blend in egg, milk and vanilla and
roll on floured board. Cut out with cookie cutters
and bake at 375 degrees for 8 min. or lightly brown
edges. |
